ENGLISHVerónica Pallini, director of the theatre company L’autèntica, and Marco Canale present Collons! , a participatory theatre project – at once intimate and collective – exploring contemporary masculinities. Through theatre, the body, music and performance, the production raises questions about desire, violence, vulnerability and identity.
The participatory nature of this production begins even before its premiere, with a workshop in which non-professional actors took part. Young men who are open to exploring and expressing themselves based on their own experiences. On stage, the play continues to foster a sense of community by involving the audience, who will be invited to complete the stories via a screen featuring integrated AI.
The director and actor Verónica Pallini, who holds a PhD in social anthropology, explores dramaturgy from two distinct perspectives: immersive stage productions for children up to the age of 6, and documentary theatre pieces on masculinity, a theme that forms the basis of her play I Don’t Understand Men, with which she began her creative collaboration with Marco Canale.
Argentinian artist Marco Canale, who specialises in documentary theatre and site-specific projects, transforms personal memories and experiences into immersive, stage-based narratives.
